Timeless Truths

One of the things I love about Mary Kay functions, is the ability to see and hear the company’s founder.  She was a gifted speaker, motivator and model of grace.  Enjoy.

Clear Proof

When I was a director the first time, one of the tools we had was a DVD sent out each month called “Pink Link.”  It had new products, promotions and education to be shared with our units, and it was fabulous.  Well now all consultants have access to Pink Link on MKInTouch, and I would exhort you to check it out.  I

Beauty Tip – masked bandit

If you are showering, make sure any residual eye makeup is removed before you begin. You don’t want to look like a woodland creature You might not realize you are a bandito until you have applied your skin care regime, meaning you’re going to take off good expensive product. Save money and just say no to raccoons.  Your friends and

Resurfacing the bathroom sink

We’re having company on Tuesday.  It’s someone I’ve never met and 2 of his friends.  They’re coming for 5 days to stay with us on their way from England to a music festival in California.  I suppose it’s a sign of the Internet times that a Facebook friend becomes a houseguest with relative ease. When I say relative ease, I

School of life

This is an unforeseen continuation of “Ouch my legs hurt,” which were my reactions to getting started with a new venture.  Now I’m a fully inducted newbie and have “discovered” more relevant observations about the infancy of an undertaking. It wasn’t what I was about Many (many) years ago, I had a newborn infant.  He was my pride and joy

Go-Give retreat tidbits

SNSD Mary Diem paid a visit to the NW, looking younger than ever. I want to be like her when I grow up.  She anchored a superb day of training, laughing, hanging out and pantyhose.  I’d complain about the pantyhose, but she told us: Don’t complain.  When you complain, 50% of the people don’t care and 50% think you deserve

Since you’ve asked

Back in the late 70’s, I bought an album by Dan Fogelberg and Tim Weisburg called Twin Sons of Different Mothers  Its music has withstood all the buffeting my life could throw at it, emerging still as one of the albums I can lose myself in start to finish. Next May, my oldest son will be getting married and I suggested

Go-Give event

Because Cheryl Davidson has retired, there are no fall retreats for her area.  Corporate doesn’t leave the Go-Give area in the dark, and one of my favorite NSD’s is coming in November to get us ed-u-ma-cated and inspired.

All together now

The day has been set!  Thursday is now the day when everyone is invited to my home with a guest for fun, education, food and moving your business forward. Beginning Aug 11 (I have a prior commitment this week) it will be at 6:45.  I will ask you to RSVP by noon on the day you will be attending and plan

Working smart

Back in the day, when dinosaurs roamed the earth and I was a new Independent Beauty Consultant, we were told the easiest way to help customers know which clear/white/pink blob they were putting on, was to write product names on the styrofoam trays with a ballpoint pen. For me, it was one of the better ways of being “busy” with my
